Essential equipment for practice growth and better patient care
Dr. InDEr PrEEt SIngh
I have been using BIOLASE Laser technology for the last 10 years. I
had first bought BIOLASE Epic (Diode). The technology was
already ahead of time. It was a game changer for many soft tissue
procedures; minimally invasive, painless, bloodless and patient
friendly.
A few years back I was introduced to even more cutting edge
technology, the WATERLASE iPlus which happens to be both, hard
and soft tissue laser. My practice has flourished ever since I invest-
ed in this technology. I got myself into the Biolase training program
to make best and fullest use of it.
Incorporating WATERLASE into my routine practice has proved
extremely beneficial. It is patient friendly. I have been performing
procedures on kids and adults and their feedback is extremely pos-
itive. Especially when it comes to kids, convincing them for certain
procedures and assuring them a painless experience was in itself a
challenging task but much to my relief now, kids do not complain
of any sort of discomfort and of course their parents are happy too.
I have been getting many referrals as lasers have created a very pos-
itive experience for pediatric patients. Patients, before going in for
any procedure look up on the internet for ways to make their expe-
rience in the dental office as comfortable as possible, and this is
what WATERLASE is all about. It does live up to their as well as our
expectations. Its versatility has helped me perform procedures with
utmost ease and minimal invasion. As an orthodontist, it has helped
me with various orthodontic procedures, specifically debonding of
the ceramic brackets which is categorically a lot more comfortable
for patients and myself.
Various implant procedures, gingivectomies, endodontic proce-
dures and even biopsies are carried out easily. Patients don't com-
plain of pain or discomfort during any of the procedures, and there
is no postoperative pain and swelling. I consider this one of the
USPs of my practice.
I am a strong believer in LASER technology and it has proven to
be a boon for dentistry as well as my clinical practice. I can say with-
out hesitation that lasers are a requirement for any practice that
wants to grow and improve patient care.
