Golden Jubilee 50th Indian Prosthodontic Society Conference
The month of November witnessed bustling activity at the
Indian capital, New Delhi, when Prosthodontists from 9
different countries rendezvoused at the Golden Jubilee
Celebrations of the Indian Prosthodontic Society at The
Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi from 11th
– 13th November, 2022.
Everything about this conference was golden, genuine-
ly living up to its theme, “Golden Glory with Golden
Standards. A mammoth yet impeccably orchestrated
event by the Indian Prosthodontic Society under the
Chairman, Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma.
Nearly 2500 delegates participated in the conference
with utmost enthusiasm and zeal to connect the dots of
the past and weave a sparkling future. The inaugural cer-
emony was graced by the auspicious presence of digni-
taries. The Chief Guest, Shri Rajesh Bhushan, IAS,
Secretary of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India,
emphasized that oral health is the integral cog in the wheel
for maintaining general health and highlighted that health
in general and oral health, in particular, is the fundamen-
tal human right.
The scientific sessions were conducted back-to-back in
various auditoriums and the audience had an interactive
experience with a dynamic group of keynote speakers. Dr.
Raj Rayan demystified the enigmas of occlusion and
debunked the myths associated with the topic. Dr. Suresh
Nayar unraveled the digital interventions in Maxillofacial
Prosthodontics. Dr. Shankar Iyer captivated the attendees
by narrating the sojourn of Prosthodontics over the last 50
years and the seminal changes that brought us where we
are today. Dr. Shilpa Shetty talked about incorporating
digital workflow in implant dentistry in dental practice.
Dr. Smitha Athalve touched on the critical topic of
