NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
RAHUL KAKODKAR
Greetings,
In the previous issue we spoke about the momentum Digital Dentistry is gather-
ing at such a rapid pace. But the foundations of conventional dentistry, in theoret-
ical and clinical sense, stay the same.
As long as we stay true to the basics like respecting the anatomy, observing clini-
cal variations, case specificity and material science, clinical success and excellent
prognosis are inevitable.
In this edition, we look into how the ethos of digital dentistry is taking shape on
the back of conventional wisdom. The quantum and the pace at which high
standard dentistry is being delivered is nothing short of astonishing. Not only are
the outputs biomimetic in every true sense but also the function.
In a focus article in this issue, the key philosophy of simplicity is emphasized
wherein even the most complex of situations can be handled effectively with a
simple and straight forward approach thereby respecting the complex nature of a
tooth without exaggerating the situation.
We will continue to share such interesting and informative articles in each issue
and look forward to your feedback on the same.
I also want to take this opportunity to urge the younger technicians to document
their work and share your interesting cases with us for publication in the coming
issues.
WE ARE PLEASED to consider unpublished articles
and features on topics of interest to practicing
dental technicians and dentists interested in dental
laboratory technology.
These may include lab procedures and techniques,
topics relating to management of the clinical
aspects of dental technology and non-clinical
issues impacting dental laboratories. Manuscripts
must not be under consideration elsewhere.
We also welcome pre and post event reports, news items and new product information
from institutions, organisations and laboratories as well as feedback and comments from
readers.
