NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
RAHUL KAKODKAR
Hello Readers,
Welcome to the latest edition of Dental Technology.
In this edition, we deep dive into the intricacies of how digital dentistry is taking
shape and percolating into various specialties of dentistry. The process, which is
happening at a fast pace, is a prospective game changer.
Advancement in technology, low-cost alternatives, a lack of trained technicians
and changing patient aspirations as well as new treatment standards are further
stimulating the adoption of digital solutions. These advanced digital solutions are
bound to cover dental workflow, delivering quantifiable benefits for dentists,
technicians and most important of all for patients. Eventually, those dental labs
that adopt and excel in digitalization will gain considerable advantages in terms
of quality, as well as cost and time savings.
Clinics and dental laboratories have the possibility to replicate a majority of their
operations digitally and ensure a steady and standard exchange of information
along the entire dental workflow from diagnostics to treatment.
As I pen this, I am heading to Spain for the exocad Insights 2022 which will be
held in the picturesque island of Mallorca.
The event promises to be an exhilarating experience with 2 power packed days of
lectures by top speakers, software sessions and presentations by leading interna-
tional CAD/CAM players. I look forward to connecting with members of the den-
tal community from across the globe and sharing knowledge and ideas as well as
learning from them.
Stay tuned for event updates on our website, social media handles as well as a
comprehensive post event review in the next edition of this publication.
WE ARE PLEASED to consider unpublished articles

topics relating to management of the clinical
aspects of dental technology and non-clinical
issues impacting dental laboratories. Manuscripts
must not be under consideration elsewhere.
