                                                                                                      All  layers  of  the  feldspathic  ceramic
                                                                                                    with fine structure were fired in a single
                                                                                                    step (Figure 23). The shape and shade
                                                                                                    were then optimized in a correction fir-
                                                                                                    ing    (Figure  24).  The  in-depth  shade
                                                                                                    effects were characterized in two passes
                                                                                                    to  avoid  the  mixing  of  the  Vita  Interno
                                                                                                    shades used. First, horizontal characteri-
                                                                                                    zations were carried out using thin white

                                                                                                    Interior 10 (brown) and 05 (terracotta)

                                                                                                      For the second firing, white character-
                                                                                                    izations  were  added  vertically  with
                                                                                                    Interior  01  (Figures  27  and 28).
                                                                                                    Finally,  the  glaze  was  layered  and  fired
