thirds to create "warm effects" (Figure
20). In the second step, Transpa Dentin
3M2 was applied to the middle and
Effect Chroma 10 (green-brown) and 3
(light yellow) in the most chromatic cer-
vical area. Effect Enamel 10 (blue) was
added for a deep bluish effect on the

was layered on the proximal and central
areas and light Enamel (END) on the

All layers of the feldspathic ceramic
with fine structure were fired in a single
step (Figure 23). The shape and shade
were then optimized in a correction fir-
ing (Figure 24). The in-depth shade
effects were characterized in two passes
to avoid the mixing of the Vita Interno
shades used. First, horizontal characteri-
zations were carried out using thin white

characterizations were added with Interior 02 (sand) to create mamel-
ons. Interior 08 (blue) was used for
translucent effects in the top portion and
Interior 10 (brown) and 05 (terracotta)
for control of the cervical shade
(Figure 25). These horizontal charac-
terizations were fixed in the first firing
(Figure 26).
For the second firing, white character-
izations were added vertically with
Interior 01 (Figures 27 and 28).
Finally, the glaze was layered and fired

Window and white EC1 EC1 (white) (Figures 29 and 30), fol-
lowed by a subsequent firing with differ-
ent Effect Glazes: EE3 (pink-translu-
cent), EE4 (yellowish), EE5 (translucent
yellowish), EE8 (translucent red) and
EE9 (translucent bluish) (Figures 31
and 32). After the finishing and polish-
ing, the crown was ready for the first in
situ test (Figure 33).
