TiMELiNE FOR SOFT-TiSSUE AUGMENTATiON
Treatment planning and case assessment for rehabilitation with
dental implants can be classified according to the SAC (simple,
advanced, complex) classification and include a variety of
clinical phases up to the insertion of the final restoration.
Soft-tissue augmentation/regeneration surgeries can
be performed at different stages in the treatment timeline,
depending on the initial classification, the location of the
implant and the complexity of the case. Predominantly, two main
time-points may be considered to render the most predictable
treatment outcomes: before implant placement; and during the
phase of tissue integration of the implant.
The therapeutic approach to increase the width of keratinized
